General Job Requirements:
Seven Stars Bakery is looking for positive, enthusiastic individuals to join our team. You will be working with a top-tier cafe team, in a fun and casual environment. This position is perfect for someone who wants to pursue a long-term career with Seven Stars Bakery. You should be ready to manage a staff of 15+ front of house members in all aspects of customer service and operations. You will be training new staff members on their daily functions, ensuring cleanliness and regular maintenance of the store.
Additionally, you will create staff work schedules, as well as manage inventory for packaging and store equipment and materials. This position will require you to set the tone and pace for the store, complete a daily cash count after every shift, and facilitate the daily operations of the cafe. You will be responsible for creating production pars based on estimates, on a weekly basis, continually completing quality control checks of products and communicating with the production bakery. You will also assist with promotional event planning, respond to customer inquiries, and handle guest compliments and complaints.
Education Requirements:
- 3+ Years Food/Hospitality Industry Experience; Barista experience preferred
- 2+ Years Managerial experience of a team of 5 or more
- Sincere passion for bread, pastry and coffee
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Experience with ordering and inventory management
- Understanding of sales goals, production pars, and quality control
- Extensive experience with training new hires and continual training to better staff
- Meticulous cash handling skills
- Courteous demeanor for interacting with staff and co-workers
- Exceptional customer service
- Detailed knowledge of Department of Health regulations and cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Food Safety Manager’s License, preferred
