Dining Supervisor Providence Rhode Island School of Design

General Job Requirements:

Serves as an essential part of day-to-day operations by providing direction, supervision and leadership to front of house and utility personnel, serving as an essential part of the successful day-to-day operations. Works with the Unit Manager in the development of a variety of student and staff programming and events. Assists in the production of well-prepared food items. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation levels of front of house areas including all preparation and serving areas, with strict attention to sanitation procedures. Actively participate in a team setting, with keen attention to customer service, and to culinary and visual detail in support of dining’s mission.

Education Requirements::
Associates degree in Culinary Arts or hospitality and a minimum of three years catering culinary supervisory experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with rigorous quality standards or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read, write and follow written procedures. Strong oral and written communication skills required, including the ability to effectively communicate effectively with diverse and multilingual populations. Strong ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Computer literacy in Word and Excel required. Rhode Island sanitation/ServSafe certification is required or must be obtained within the orientation and review period. A valid driver’s license and good driving record is necessary.
