Assistant Managers Providence Jacky's Waterplace Restaurant

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Host/Hostess courteously greets guests and assigns guests to tables suitable to the size of each group, escorts them to their seats, and provides menus, or accompanies them to waiting areas until their tables are ready. Maintain good public relations with guests. Commonly, Host or Hostess will also responsible for answering incoming phone calls and take and schedule reservations, accepting “take-out” food orders. The Host/Hostess will also assist with special event functions, such as parties and banquets. He/She may inspect dining room serving stations as well as the restrooms to insure that they are clean, neat, and contain the necessary supplies. He/She will assist in clearing tables to set up for new guests; may assist with beverage and food orders in an effort expedite them as well. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • To ensure maximum profitability of their restaurant through the daily operation of the unit in accordance with Jacky’s policies and procedures.
  • Making sure that the guest is our number 1 priority and given the best service from the staff
  • Treat each and every employee with respect and give them an opportunity for input on how to continually improve our service goals
  • Responsible for recruiting, training, certification, scheduling, motivating, and supervising all hourly staff in accordance with Jacky’s policies and standards.
  • Ensures compliance of specific store goals through direction and continual communication with staff.
  • Supervises staff when on duty.
  • Ensures compliance with established Company goals, policies, and procedures throughout the restaurant.
  • Supervises, assists, and is responsible for purchasing products, goods, and supplies for store usage.
  • Supervises assists and is responsible for preparation and maintenance of specific reports, records, and schedules in accordance with Jacky’s policies, and procedures.
  • Maintains professional standards in accordance with Company goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with State, Federal, and local laws (i.e. Alcohol Awareness, child labor, wage and hour, OSHA, etc.),
  • Understand the employee handbook and be able to answer questions asked by the staff or know who to ask for the information
  • Make sure that all staff members receive a copy when hired wither by email or handed a full copy
  • Make sure all staff members receive any updated handbooks and sign for them that they have received them

Education Requirements:
Must have min 3 Years Restaurant and management experience
