General Job Requirements:
Forty 1 North, a boutique hotel, restaurant and marina in the heart of the Newport wharf, seeks a Guest Service supervisor to oversee the operation of the Guest Service Agents which includes Front Desk Reception and Reservations Coordination, as well as, the housekeeping team. The Guest Service supervisor leads the hospitality team and sets the standards for service excellence. Responsibilities : include but are not limited to: Being the Ambassador of the Property, Guest Advocate, Gracious Host within the Property and the local community, special requests, room assignments and guest amenity programs.. Ability to develop work schedules, adhere to budget and evaluate staff performance. Must work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time, guest requests, visitor inquiries, etc.. Previous hotel or customer service management is required.. Proficiency with computer skills. Overseeing housekeeping staff performance on a daily basis. checking rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas for cleanliness This job description is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of all job functions that an employee in this position may be asked to perform from time to time. Education Requirements:
- 1 year of supervision experience
- front desk experience in a high level environment
- available to work weekends, evenings and holidays
