General Job Requirements:
The Beehive Cafe is searching for enthusiastic Baristas to join our team in Bristol, RI! We're a diverse and inclusive workplace that values friendly, dynamic individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Properly prepare and serve hot and cold beverages - coffee, espresso, blended drinks, and teas. Must be familiar with a Simonelli or La Marzocco espresso machine.
- Follow health and safety guidelines for food preparation and service.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Take orders from customers and answer questions about menu items.
- Operate grinders, blenders, espresso machines and other basic kitchen equipment
- Ensure that all beverages are food orders prepared according to our standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is highly preferred
- Knowledge of Square POS or similar
- Strong knowledge and passion for hand-crafted coffee + tea drinks
- Knowledge of vegetarian + gluten-free diets is helpful
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
- Flexibility to work early morning (6 AM) + afternoon work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Education Requirements:
2 years of hands-on Barista experience at a Cafe or Coffee Shop that specializes in coffee, espresso, tea 1-year server, food runner
