General Job Requirements:
Phantom Farms, located in Cumberland, RI, is a historic farm and orchard with over a century of history. The farm grows over 15 varieties of apples, blueberries, and hardy mums. In addition to the orchard, Phantom Farms operates a year-round cafe and bakery. The farm also offers various farm products and prioritizes food safety according to the RI Department of Health. Role Description This is a part-time on-site role for a Baker at Phantom Farms (not seasonal - full year). The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts and experience in food preparation within a kitchen or restaurant setting. Roles & Responsibilities: Have a passion for baked goods. Prep and bake a variety of goods we serve in our cafe. 4 am mandatory start time for muffin bake 2-3 times per week. Follow recipes and adhere to quality standards. Operate kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, and packaging tools. Ensure cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
Education Functions:
Proven experience working as a Baker in the food industry Knowledge of food preparation techniques and baking methods Familiarity with kitchen equipment such as knives, mixers, and ovens Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately Excellent customer service skills for interacting with clients Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes Knowledge of food safety guidelines Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management skills Experience in a bakery or food service establishment is a plus
