The Russell Morin Hospitality Group is looking for a talented back-of-house restaurant professional to become our Kitchen Manager for CRU PVD, our upcoming restaurant in Providence's West End, and to lead the kitchen team at our new counter service dining experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspiring and motivating our team to deliver exceptional quality food that exceeds expectations; implement quality control measures to ensure proper execution of recipes
- Oversee the daily back-of-house operations, ensuring quality and efficiency while fostering a positive work environment
- Collaborate with our Culinary Director on food and labor costs while managing prep schedules and inventory
- Hire, train, and grow the back-of-house staff, including maintaining schedules and ensuring compliance with kitchen policies
- Think outside the box to develop innovative solutions to challenges
- Ensuring operational excellence and upholding our high standards of quality, safety, and cleanliness
What do you bring to the table? Energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for hospitality! You're a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and lead by example. We are looking for proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or Chef Manager; your leadership skills and ability to drive results are crucial for success. While preference is given to those with at least 3 years of Management experience, we embrace enthusiasm and adaptability. We value passion and a willingness to learn. Key ingredients for success:
- 3-5 years of culinary experience in the hospitality industry
- At least 1 year of kitchen management experience, must be able to train and lead a team
- Demonstrated experience providing excellent levels of customer service
- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety policies and regulations, ServSafe Food Manager certification must be up to date
- Comfortable with computers as it related to inventory management and product ordering, must be familiar with Outlook and Excel
- Must be able to remain organized in a busy, frequently changing environment
- A willingness to roll up your sleeves and be an active member of the team
