POSITION SUMMARY:
This position helps ensure smooth, compliant, and employee-focused HR functions that contribute to a positive and well-organized workplace.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer employee benefits and leave programs, including enrollments, life events, FMLA/ADA, and the 403(b) retirement plan
- Serve as a first point of contact for HR inquiries, providing responsive, confidential, and employee-focused support
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding efforts, including job postings, orientations, and required documentation
- Support performance management processes and department-wide HR initiatives and projects
- Maintain accurate HRIS data, personnel records, and routine reporting to support compliance and decision-making
- Assist with employee engagement activities, internal communications, and other HR operational needs as assigned
- Strong working knowledge of HR systems and tools, including Office 365, Outlook, and HRIS
- Solid understanding of federal and state employment laws (FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation)
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Effective communicator with a professional, diplomatic approach to employee interactions
- Proactive problem-solver who can work independently while contributing to a collaborative, hands-on HR team
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a generalist or HR coordinator role.
- SHRM-CP or other equivalent certification is a plus.
- Experience in a seasonal, hospitality, nonprofit, or multi-site environment is a plus but not required.
